bKlug Floating Contact Button puts a WhatsApp chat on every page of your WordPress site, with no theme editing and no code. Set your number in the settings and the button appears. Fill in one number to send visitors straight into a chat, or add several and let them choose who to reach. Want the conversation to start with context? Switch on the ask-a-question bar and the visitor’s question rides into WhatsApp as the very first message, so you never open with “hi”.

Key features

  • 💬 Floating WhatsApp button: One-tap chat from any page, bottom-left or bottom-right. Icon only, or icon plus a label you choose.
  • ✍️ Ask-a-question bar: A centered bar visitors type into. Their question becomes the first WhatsApp message, so the chat starts with context. On a computer they scan a QR code to continue on their phone; on a phone WhatsApp opens straight away.
  • 👥 Up to five contacts, with a picker: Give sales, support, or each store its own number, name, note, and pre-filled message. Two or more numbers open a clean contact picker so visitors choose who to message.
  • 💡 Suggested questions: Offer up to three one-tap question chips to get the conversation moving.
  • 🕒 Business hours: Show a live “available now” or “away” note with a status dot, based on the current time, days, and time zone.
  • 👋 Auto-open nudge: Optionally open the contact picker after a visitor has been idle for a set time, so the nudge lands in a pause rather than mid-read.
  • 🎨 Full styling control: Colours for the button, the WhatsApp mark, the contact cards, and the bar, plus size and spacing. Show or hide on desktop and mobile independently.
  • 🔒 Fast and private: Lightweight, framework-free JavaScript that loads only on pages where the button appears. No account required, and no visitor data leaves your site.

Nothing is answered on your site and nothing is stored. Every conversation happens in WhatsApp, where your customers already are, and it starts with everything you need to reply. A free tool from bKlug.

This plugin bundles qrcode-generator by Kazuhiko Arase (MIT licensed) to draw QR codes in the browser. No QR service is contacted and the code is generated entirely on the visitor’s device.

This plugin uses WhatsApp’s standard wa.me links. WhatsApp is a trademark of its respective owner, and this plugin is not affiliated with or endorsed by WhatsApp or Meta.
