ChatNory reads the content you already have — your pages, your posts, your WooCommerce products — and answers your visitors’ questions from it, in their own language, day and night.
This plugin connects your WordPress site to your ChatNory account. It adds the chat widget to your site and keeps the chatbot trained as you publish, so you never have to copy anything across by hand.
What it does
- Adds the chat widget to your site. Where it appears, which devices see it and whether it is published are all set in your ChatNory dashboard.
- Trains the chatbot on your published pages, posts and WooCommerce products — re-synced when you save a post, and once a day.
- Sends each product’s price, stock status, SKU and categories, so the chatbot can answer product questions without any extra setup.
- Sends post categories and tags, so it can answer “what do you have for …” questions.
[chatnory]shortcode puts the chatbot inside a page or post instead of the floating corner button. Optional attributes:height(default 560) andwidth(default 100%).- Team chat: the people who log in to your site can message each other without leaving it. Your site signs each user with your app secret, so nobody can chat as someone else. You can limit it to chosen roles.
You need a ChatNory account
The chatbot itself runs on ChatNory, not inside WordPress — answering questions needs an AI model, and that cannot run on shared hosting. There is a free plan, and this plugin works the same on every plan. Sign up at chatnory.com.
For developers
chatnory_post_typesfilters the post types that are synced (pages, posts and products by default).chatnory_sync_limitfilters how many recently changed items are sent per sync (300 by default).
External services
This plugin connects your site to ChatNory, the service that runs the chatbot and stores its knowledge. Without it the plugin does nothing, because answering a visitor’s question needs an AI model running on a server.
What is sent, and when
- When you save a post or page, once a day, and when you press “Sync now”: the title, URL and plain text of your published pages, posts and WooCommerce products (including price, stock status, SKU and categories), your site’s address, and whether WooCommerce is active. Draft, private and password-protected content is not sent.
- When a visitor opens the chat: their messages and the page they are on are sent from their browser to ChatNory, so the chatbot can answer them.
- When team chat is switched on: for each logged-in user, their display name, email address, role and avatar URL, signed by your site.
The address of the ChatNory server is the one you enter in the plugin’s settings, and nothing is sent anywhere until you enter it.
