Dispatchable Order Tracking for WooCommerce

“Where is my order?” is the question cash-on-delivery stores answer all day, often for orders that have no tracking number at all: your own drivers, a local courier, a courier that reports by phone.

Dispatchable Order Tracking gives your customers a tracking page they can actually use, and gives you one-click delivery steps to keep it up to date. It never sends a message by itself and never changes your order statuses.

For your customers

  • A “Track your order” page, created for you when you activate the plugin, styled by your theme (block and classic themes). It works as a block or with the [dispatchwp_order_tracking] shortcode.
  • Look up an order with the order number and the phone number, typed however the customer likes: “0612…”, “+212 612…”, “00212…”, with spaces or dashes, or in Arabic-Indic digits. The billing email works too.
  • A private tracking link for every order, so customers don’t have to type anything. It’s added to the customer emails WooCommerce already sends (processing, completed, on hold, customer note), the thank-you page and My Account. It works while the order is open and for 60 days after it ends.
  • Clear delivery stages: Order received, Confirmed, Preparing, Shipped, Out for delivery, Delivered, plus On hold, Delivery failed, Returned, Cancelled and Refunded when they apply. Each with its time and your note to the customer.
  • Only what’s needed is shown: order number and date, the stages, item names and quantities, the courier and tracking number with a link to the courier’s site, and the delivery city. Never the address, phone number or email.

For you

  • Choose what each order status shows the customer (WooCommerce Settings Order tracking). Every status is listed, including statuses added by other plugins. For example, Completed can mean “Shipped” or “Delivered” in your store.
  • Rename the stages and add a message to each, for example “Preparing: we pack orders within 24 hours”.
  • One-click delivery steps on the order screen: Mark shipped (with a courier and tracking number), Out for delivery, Delivered, Delivery failed (with a private reason), Returned, each with an optional note for the customer, and “Undo last step”. Recording a step never changes the order status.
  • Bulk steps on the Orders list: select orders and choose “Delivery: Out for delivery” (or Shipped, or Delivered).
  • See what’s in the van: a Delivery column and filters on the Orders list, including orders shipped with no update for a number of days you choose.
  • Share the tracking link by hand with WhatsApp, SMS or “Copy message”, using an editable message. After a bulk step you can share the links one by one. You always press Send yourself.
  • Your own courier list: a name and, optionally, the courier’s tracking link with {tracking_number} where the number goes.
  • WooCommerce Order tracking: this month’s results (“Customers checked their order themselves N times”), an activity log, and a Status tab that checks what tracking depends on, including a warning when a page-cache plugin should exclude the tracking page. The same checks appear in WooCommerce Status.
  • A short setup wizard (three questions, each skippable) on a fresh install.

Works with

  • High-performance order storage (HPOS) and the classic order storage; Checkout and Order Confirmation blocks; classic and block email templates.
  • WooCommerce Order Fulfillments: when that WooCommerce feature is on, a fulfilled fulfillment shows the customer “Shipped” with its carrier and tracking number, read from WooCommerce.
  • Dispatchable Order Messaging: its {tracking_number} placeholder is filled with the order’s tracking number (only when nothing else filled it).
  • Other tracking plugins and custom code can supply the courier and tracking number through the dispatchwp_track_shipment filter.

What it doesn’t do

  • It doesn’t send any message or email of its own, and doesn’t change order statuses.
  • It doesn’t connect to courier APIs or tracking services, and has no carrier database. Nothing leaves your site.

Dispatchable Order Tracking Pro

Everything above is free and stays free. If you would rather not share each update by hand, the paid add-on Dispatchable Order Tracking Pro (sold separately, needs this plugin) tells your customers for you:

  • Automatic delivery-update emails when you record Shipped, Out for delivery, Delivery failed or Delivered, sent two minutes later so an undo sends nothing.
  • Automatic WhatsApp updates through Dispatchable Order Messaging Pro, with the email as a fallback.
  • Courier CSV import: upload the spreadsheet your courier sends and record many steps at once.
  • A delivery-update endpoint for Zapier, Make or your own systems.
  • Delivery estimates on the tracking page and in the updates, and delivery reports.

Privacy

The plugin stores, with each order: its delivery steps and your notes to the customer, the courier and tracking number, and the private link’s secret. It counts tracking-page lookups, link opens and taps on the share buttons, without storing anything a visitor types, and deletes those counts after 12 months. To stop repeated guessing it keeps a scrambled form of the visitor’s IP address for 15 minutes. Nothing is sent to any outside service.

It adds suggested text to Settings Privacy Policy Guide, and works with WordPress’s Export and Erase Personal Data tools. Erasing removes your notes, the tracking number and the private link of that customer’s orders, and keeps the delivery steps as your store’s records.

Deleting the plugin from the Plugins screen removes its settings, its table, its data on orders and the Track your order page.
