How It Works
- The customer adds products to the cart and proceeds to checkout.
- If the selected payment gateway is in the allowed list, the cart total is replaced with the down payment amount.
- The customer pays only the down payment online.
- The remaining amount is recorded on the order and collected upon delivery.
- The order status is set to On-Hold or Processing — never auto-completed — so the remaining balance is not forgotten.
Gateway Compatibility
Cash on Delivery (COD) and bank-transfer gateways work best. Some online payment gateways may not support modified order totals. Always test thoroughly with your chosen gateway before going live.
