If Yoast SEO or Rank Math is active, ElevaRank reads and writes their meta fields. If neither is installed, it outputs the meta tags itself.
One-click XML sitemap
- Press “Generate sitemap now” and ElevaRank builds your sitemap at /sitemap.xml — homepage, posts, pages and the content types you enabled, with lastmod dates and noindexed pages skipped

External services
This plugin connects to third-party services to provide its AI features. No data is sent anywhere until you take an explicit action (such as clicking “Optimize”, “Generate”, or running an audit). If you never use an AI feature, no external requests are made.
OpenAI (ChatGPT API)
ElevaRank uses the OpenAI API to generate SEO suggestions, article drafts, meta tags, and analysis.
- What is sent, and when: only when you trigger an AI action, the relevant post title and content (and, for business descriptions, the business details you entered) are sent to OpenAI’s API to generate a response.
- When it happens: only on your explicit action in the WordPress admin. Nothing is sent from your site’s front end or on a schedule unless you enable the optional weekly auto-writer.

You may either use your own OpenAI API key (usage billed to your own OpenAI account) or, optionally, ElevaRank’s hosted credits service (see below).
ElevaRank credits service (optional)
If you choose the “ElevaRank credits” mode instead of your own API key, AI requests are routed through ElevaRank’s hosted API at elevarank.com, which forwards them to OpenAI on your behalf and deducts credits from your account. This mode is entirely optional; the plugin is fully functional with your own OpenAI API key and no connection to elevarank.com.
- What is sent, and when: the same post/content data described above, plus your ElevaRank license key, only when you trigger an AI action while this mode is selected.

Privacy
ElevaRank does not send anything anywhere unless you ask it to.
- AI features. When you run an AI action, the relevant post title/content is sent to OpenAI to generate the response. If you use your own OpenAI API key this goes straight from your site to OpenAI. If you use ElevaRank credits it is relayed through elevarank.com, which does not store the content.
- Usage sharing (optional, off by default). Only if you explicitly turn it on, the plugin sends your site URL and name, the plugin/WordPress/PHP versions, which AI mode you use, and your site language to elevarank.com, plus a daily ping. It never sends post content, API keys, or email addresses. Turn it off under ElevaRank -> Settings -> Usage sharing and your site is deleted from those records.
