ELX Chatbot Connector

ELX Chatbot Connector connects your WooCommerce store with ELX Chatbot for a fast setup and automatic product sync, so AI-powered recommendations stay accurate.

Customers can ask questions, discover the right products, check real-time order updates, and get instant answers to FAQs. Customize the chatbot on the ELX Chatbot platform to match your brand, provide helpful support, and turn conversations into sales.

This plugin does not provide the chatbot functionality itself. It is the WooCommerce integration layer that connects your store to the ELX Chatbot platform so the platform can use your catalogue and order data.

Without this connector, ELX Chatbot does not have access to the store’s WooCommerce product information. Once the plugin is installed and connected:

1. You create an account and chatbot on the ELX Chatbot platform.
2. You generate an Access Key from your ELX Chatbot account.
3. You enter that Access Key in WordPress to connect the store.
4. The plugin generates a JSON product feed from the WooCommerce catalogue.
5. ELX Chatbot can use that catalogue data to power product-related conversations on the storefront.

What this plugin does

• Connects a WooCommerce store to an existing ELX Chatbot account using an Access Key.
• Verifies the Access Key and registers the store with the ELX Chatbot platform.
• Generates a JSON product feed from the WooCommerce catalogue, including product variations.
• Allows automatic product feed refreshes to be scheduled hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly.
• Notifies ELX Chatbot when the product feed URL becomes available or is refreshed.
• Loads the ELX Chatbot storefront widget after the store has been successfully connected.
• Provides JWT-authenticated REST endpoints required for the ELX Chatbot integration, including token generation, cart actions, and order lookup.

What this plugin does not do

• It does not replace the ELX Chatbot SaaS platform.
• It does not train FAQs, configure or design the chatbot, or run the AI conversation engine inside WordPress.
• It is not the ELX Chatbot product. The SaaS platform, backend, APIs, and related services are proprietary and are developed and operated by EchoLogyx.
• Those capabilities are provided through the ELX Chatbot platform and are managed through the associated ELX Chatbot account.

Getting started

1. Register at app.elxchatbot.ai and create a chatbot.
2. Generate an Access Key from the ELX Chatbot dashboard.
3. Install and activate this plugin. WooCommerce is required.
4. In WordPress, go to Tools > ELX Chatbot Connector.
5. Enter the Access Key and click Connect & Verify.
6. Review the feed status and configure the refresh interval if needed.

Once the store is connected, its WooCommerce catalogue becomes available to ELX Chatbot through the generated product feed. The ELX Chatbot storefront widget can then be displayed on the connected store.

That license applies only to this plugin (the connector). The ELX Chatbot SaaS platform, backend, APIs, storefront widget services, and related proprietary products remain closed-source and are not part of this plugin’s license.

This plugin communicates with the following external services operated by ELX Chatbot:

1. ELX Chatbot Store API (elxchatbot.ai)

   • Purpose: Verify the Access Key and register/connect the WooCommerce store with the merchant’s ELX Chatbot account.
   • Data sent: Site name, primary domain/URL, store domain, store type (woocommerce), WooCommerce currency, Access Key/secret key, and a short-lived access token generated by the plugin.
   • When: When an administrator clicks Connect & Verify on the plugin settings page.

2. ELX Chatbot Feed API (elxchatbot.ai)

   • Purpose: Notify ELX Chatbot that a product feed URL is available, so the platform can retrieve the WooCommerce catalogue feed.
   • Data sent: Product feed URL, Access Key/secret key, primary domain, and Bot ID.
   • When: When the product feed is refreshed or a feed notification is triggered from the plugin settings.
   • Note: The product catalogue JSON is generated and stored on the WordPress site. The Feed API receives the feed URL and required identifiers so ELX Chatbot can retrieve the catalogue. The complete product catalogue is not included in the notification request.

3. ELX Chatbot Frontend Script

   • Purpose: Load the ELX Chatbot storefront widget after the store has been successfully connected.
   • Data sent: Bot ID, provided as a script query parameter.
   • When: On frontend page loads when a Bot ID has been saved following a successful connection.
