Wallet Ready Gift Cards for SureCart By GiftRocketWP

GiftRocket adds real gift cards to your SureCart store. Customers design a card, pick an amount, and send it now or on a date they choose. Recipients spend it at checkout, and any unused balance stays on the card for next time.

Unlike coupon workarounds, every GiftRocket card has its own balance and transaction history. Your SureCart › Coupons list stays clean.

What you can do

• Sell gift cards from any SureCart product. Turn on the GiftRocket Wizard in the product editor and set preset amounts, custom amounts, expiry and terms. No shortcodes needed.
• Let shoppers design the card. A live preview updates as they choose a design, amount and message. Includes Birthday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Valentine’s and general designs, plus optional customer artwork uploads.
• Deliver instantly or on a schedule. Send by email straight after payment, or on the date and time the buyer picks — perfect for birthdays and holidays.
• Spend part of a balance. If the order is smaller than the card, the rest stays on the card. If it’s larger, the customer pays the difference by card or PayPal.
• A separate gift card field at checkout. A “Have a gift card?” panel sits next to SureCart’s coupon field, with a live balance badge and one-click remove.
• Apple Wallet and Google Wallet pass designer. Connect Epasscard and design wallet pass templates in the dashboard, with a live phone preview, your brand colours and logo, and QR, Code 128, PDF417 or Aztec barcodes. Use one design store-wide or a custom design per product. Requires an Epasscard account.
• Full balance history. Every issue, redemption, manual adjustment and refund is recorded in an add-only ledger you can view per card.
• Refunds handled for you. When an order paid with a gift card is refunded or cancelled, the spent amount goes back onto the card. If the order that bought a card is revoked, the card is disabled.
• Manage cards in one place. Create, edit, resend, adjust balances and change status (Active, Used, Expired, Disabled). Import cards from CSV and export outstanding balances.
• Balance checker page. Add [giftrocket_balance_check] to any page so customers can check their balance, original value, status and expiry.
• Built-in safeguards. Database row locking stops a card being spent twice at the same moment, and repeated wrong codes are rate-limited.
• Translation-ready. All customer-facing text can be translated, and the customizer headings and labels can be edited from the settings.

Requirements

• WordPress 5.8 or later and PHP 7.4 or later.
• The free SureCart plugin, installed and connected.
• Optional: an Epasscard account for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes.

Privacy and external services

GiftRocket stores gift card data in your own WordPress database. It only contacts an external service if you choose to connect Epasscard (api.epasscard.com) for wallet passes. When you connect, your name, email and site name are sent to create or validate your Epasscard account, and the pass templates you design (colours, logo, field mapping) are sent to Epasscard.
