Bot checks and message filtering address different problems. A visitor can pass a CAPTCHA and still submit an unsolicited sales pitch or a suspicious message. JevShield checks message content alongside your existing bot protection.
JevShield uses semantic AI to read what was actually submitted and judge message intent: genuine inquiry, unsolicited pitch, or outright scam. Visitors never see a puzzle, checkbox, or challenge.
- Checks message intent: Flags patterns associated with unsolicited SEO pitches, guest-post offers, extortion, crypto scams, and phishing. Automated classification can make mistakes.
- No extra puzzles: This plugin does not add a CAPTCHA or checkbox to your forms.
- Buyer intent signals: Genuine inquiries are scored 0–100 so you can spot high-intent buyers (budget, timeline, booking requests) instead of letting them drown in noise.
- Fail-open handling: If checks fail or quota is exhausted, JevShield allows the submission to continue. Other plugins and form validation may still prevent delivery.
- Observe first: New installations start in Observe only mode. Messages are classified and use quota, but JevShield does not block them. Switch to Block high-confidence spam after reviewing results. Existing configured installations retain blocking when upgraded.
- Filterable detection logs: Open your JevShield account and filter by Uncertain — review. Review verdicts are allowed through by this plugin. These logs are not a moderation inbox and cannot recover undelivered mail.
- Reported actions: Supported integrations report their allowed, blocked, or error-allowed decision. A successful report records JevShield’s action, not final inbox delivery; unavailable reports remain unknown.
- Broad compatibility: Contact Form 7, WPForms, Elementor Pro Forms, and native WordPress Comments.
External Service
This plugin connects to JevShield Cloud API (https://jevshield.com/api/v1/check) to classify submitted form content and protect your website from spam.
- Service Provider: JevShield Cloud (https://jevshield.com)
- What data is sent: The plugin sends selected message/subject text, sender name, email address, site URL, and form identifier over HTTPS when a configured integration submits a check. The API key is sent in an authentication header. It also sends a check ID, report token, action, and action reason to the corresponding /api/v1/report endpoint to record the plugin’s decision. Selected free-text fields may contain information entered by visitors; do not collect passwords or payment data in them.
- Connection checks: Opening the settings page verifies your key and retrieves quota from the check endpoint without submitting message content. Quota warnings store only a credential/endpoint fingerprint in WordPress, not an extra copy of your key.
- Logs: Cloud detection logs contain classification and execution metadata. Message content storage depends on your account’s log-content setting. See the privacy policy and disclose this processing to your visitors. Observe mode still sends messages and uses quota.
