Logicrays Recent Post Widget is a powerful, lightweight, and versatile plugin designed to display your latest posts anywhere on your WordPress site. It offers three distinct layout options:
- List Layout: A clean, responsive list with customizable pagination.
- Slider (Slick): A smooth vertical slider/carousel perfect for sidebar widgets.
- Swiper Slider: A modern, interactive horizontal touch-carousel with overlay text.
This plugin provides four ways to configure and display your content:
- Admin Settings Page: Centralized control page for defining post display details (title, excerpt, date, author name, thumbnails, autoplay, and speed).
- Sidebar Widget: A traditional WordPress widget with individual layout and post count settings.
- Shortcode Support: Easy integration anywhere using the
[lr_recent_posts]shortcode. - Gutenberg Block (LR Recent Post): Native Block Editor integration with live preview rendering and configuration settings in the right inspector sidebar.

Usage
1. Using the Gutenberg Block
- Open the Block Editor on any Post or Page.
- Click the + button and search for LR Recent Post.
- Insert the block. You can change the layout and post count settings dynamically in the right sidebar.
2. Using the Shortcode
- Insert
[lr_recent_posts]inside any post, page, or text block. - You can pass custom attributes, for example:
[lr_recent_posts posts_per_page=”5″ layout=”swiper”]
3. Using the Classic Widget
- Navigate to Appearance > Widgets.
- Add the LR Recent Post widget to your active sidebar.
- Choose the title, select post type, select layout type (List, Slider, or Swiper Slider), and specify the post count.
