What you can do

• Register or log in to a MICROFACTOR account from wp-admin
• Save brand name, category, hero products, and competitors
• Subscribe to Starter / Growth / Pro plans
• Run AI visibility scans and view the latest score and scenarios

External services

This plugin connects to the MICROFACTOR cloud API (default: https://microfactor-ai-visibility.onrender.com) to:

• Authenticate accounts and store an API key on your site
• Save brand setup and competitor lists
• Process paid visibility scans via the cloud service (which may call AI providers such as ForAI / OpenAI-compatible APIs)
• Start Stripe Checkout / Customer Portal for subscriptions (handled by the cloud service, not directly by this plugin)

Account email, brand data, competitors, and scan results are sent to the MICROFACTOR cloud when you use those features. Without connecting an account, the plugin only stores local settings. The Cloud API base URL is hidden from the normal Account UI (developers can reveal it with WP_DEBUG or the metis_ai_show_api_base filter).

Requirements

• A self-hosted WordPress site (or WordPress.com plan that allows custom plugins)
• Outbound HTTPS from your server to the cloud API
• A paid subscription to run scans (account registration itself is free)
