Mobile Sasa SMS

Send SMS from your WordPress site through Mobile Sasa,
the Kenyan bulk SMS platform.

• WooCommerce order notifications – text your customer when their order is
  received, completed, on hold, cancelled, refunded or failed. One editable
  template per status, with placeholders for the customer’s name, order number
  and total. Every send (and every failure) is recorded as an order note.
• Manual sending – Tools → Send SMS takes a list of numbers and a message.
• Balance on your dashboard – a widget shows your SMS units, and a warning
  appears when they fall below a threshold you set.
• Your own sender ID – messages arrive from your registered Mobile Sasa
  sender ID, not a shared shortcode.

You need a Mobile Sasa account (free to create at
account.mobilesasa.com) and an API token
scoped to Send messages. Top up in KES via M-Pesa or card.

External services

This plugin talks to the Mobile Sasa API at api.mobilesasa.com. To deliver a
message it transmits: the recipient phone number, the message content (which
may include the customer’s name and order details), your sender ID, and your
API token. The plugin also identifies your site’s URL in its User-Agent so
Mobile Sasa can assist with support requests. No other data leaves your site.
