Mondivio AI Support Chat adds an AI-powered chat widget to your WooCommerce store that actually knows your store:
- Answers product questions from your live catalogue — prices, availability, variations, alternatives — using WooCommerce data at the moment the customer asks.
- Knows your shipping, returns and FAQ pages — pick up to 100 pages it may use as knowledge, add free-text store notes; it never invents policies.
- Replies in the customer’s language — a Dutch customer gets a Dutch answer, an English customer an English one. Your primary language plus up to 50 extra languages.
- Conversation log in wp-admin — read every conversation, delete any of them, and choose a retention period of 1–90 days after which they are removed automatically.
- Bring your own AI key — connect OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini) or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. You pay your provider directly at their prices; typical cost for a small store is a few dollars per month. The plugin adds no markup.
- Optional “Powered by” badge — off by default; a checkbox on the Widget tab turns it on if you want to show it.
Everything in this plugin is fully functional with no key, account or usage limit. Guest order-status lookup and human hand-off tickets are not part of this plugin; they are available in the separately sold paid version at https://mondivio.com/ai-support-chat/.
Privacy by design
- Conversations are auto-deleted after your chosen retention period.
- Visitor IPs are anonymised by default (or not stored at all).
- Integrated with the WordPress privacy tools (data export and erasure).
- The assistant only ever sees public catalogue data and the pages you tick — never customer accounts, orders or payment data.
External services
This plugin sends chat content to the AI provider you configure and hold the account for. Nothing is sent anywhere until you enter an API key and enable the chat.
Depending on your choice, messages (the customer’s chat text and your configured store knowledge) are sent to one of:
- OpenAI — https://api.openai.com — Terms, Privacy
- Anthropic — https://api.anthropic.com — Terms, Privacy
- Google (Gemini API) — https://generativelanguage.googleapis.com — Terms, Privacy
- Or a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint you control.
No telemetry: this plugin contains no third-party SDK and no analytics. No data is ever sent to the plugin author. The only outbound requests are to the AI provider you configure. Disclose your AI provider in your store’s privacy policy.
