Origin Layouts Manager extends SiteOrigin Page Builder with reusable templates and administrator-controlled row and column options.
Save complete SiteOrigin Page Builder layouts or individual rows, then reuse them without rebuilding the same content and settings. Layout Controls also lets administrators simplify the SiteOrigin editing experience, manage existing fields, and create project-specific row and column fields without hard-coding them in a theme.
Reusable SiteOrigin layouts and rows
- Save full SiteOrigin Page Builder layouts as reusable templates.
- Save an individual SiteOrigin row directly from the row menu.
- Update an existing template without creating a duplicate.
- Manage saved layouts under a dedicated Origin Layout Manager admin menu.
- Add featured images and descriptions to make templates easier to identify.
- Insert saved layouts through SiteOrigin’s familiar Prebuilt Layouts interface.
Custom SiteOrigin row and column fields
Layout Controls gives administrators a visual interface for managing the fields shown in SiteOrigin Row Styles and Column Styles.
- Reorder native SiteOrigin fields within their existing sections.
- Turn native or custom fields on and off without deleting values already stored in page layouts.
- Add custom fields to rows or columns without writing PHP.
- Drag custom fields between compatible SiteOrigin sections.
- Clone custom fields, including select options and output settings.
- Lock saved field keys to avoid accidentally disconnecting existing page data.
- Import or export the row and column field configuration between sites.
Supported custom field types include text, URL, number, textarea, code, checkbox, toggle, select, multi-select, color, measurement, slider, image, and image size fields.
Custom field values can be applied as CSS classes, IDs, data attributes, CSS properties, or CSS custom properties. Output choices are limited and sanitized to make administrator-created controls safer and more predictable.
Theme colors and measurement units
Create a SiteOrigin color palette containing up to 16 project or brand colors. Palette colors can be named, reordered, and selected from SiteOrigin color fields. Color names and hex values appear when hovering over configured palette swatches, helping editors distinguish similar colors.
Choose which measurement units appear in SiteOrigin spacing and sizing fields. Hide units that clients do not need, reorder the remaining units, or enable modern units such as rem, viewport units, and dynamic viewport units.
Optional modern full-width rows
SiteOrigin traditionally uses JavaScript to stretch full-width rows beyond the theme content container. Origin Layouts Manager includes an optional modern CSS method for full-width and contained rows.
Configure the contained content width, minimum side gutter, and overflow protection from Layout Controls. Existing SiteOrigin row padding is preserved, including responsive tablet and mobile values.
The original SiteOrigin JavaScript method remains available and is the default until an administrator chooses Modern CSS.
Origin Layouts Manager works alongside SiteOrigin Page Builder and does not alter the SiteOrigin plugin files.
