How It Works

1. Install PlatoDev Content Chat Assistant from the WordPress directory or upload the plugin zip.
2. Go to Settings > PlatoDev Chat in your WordPress admin.
3. Configure your connection keys and customize the widget appearance.
4. Synchronize your published content.
5. Visitors can now chat with an intelligent assistant that knows your website!

This plugin connects your WordPress site to cloud infrastructure and AI services to generate vector embeddings, index content, and answer visitor questions. The external services utilized are:

1. PlatoDev Cloud Platform / Backend Service

* What data is sent and when:
– Site URL and license key are sent when validating or activating a license.
– Published post and page content (titles, body text, excerpt, permalinks, and post IDs) are transmitted when synchronizing content for semantic vector indexing.
– Visitor chat messages are transmitted to the backend endpoint when a user asks a question in the chat widget.
* Purpose: Stores vector embeddings in the cloud database, executes similarity searches, orchestrates AI responses, and validates licenses.

Privacy & Data Handling

This plugin sends data to the external backend to provide AI search and chat capabilities:
* License and URL: transmitted during activation and verification.
* Content: published posts/pages are transmitted for semantic vector indexing.
* Chat Queries: visitor questions asked through the chat widget are processed to return contextual answers.
