PopABot turns your WordPress site into a 24/7 assistant. Trained on your own content (pages, PDFs, FAQs, product catalog), it answers visitor questions in your brand voice, captures leads, books appointments, recommends WooCommerce products, looks up orders, and runs guided flows — all inside a customizable chat widget.

This plugin is the official WordPress connector for the PopABot service. Build and train your chatbot once on popabot.com, then drop it onto WordPress with a single Chatbot ID — no code, no theme edits.

• Ask anything about your content. Trained on your website, PDFs, Word docs, custom text and Q&A pairs — answers in your tone.
• Submit contact / lead forms inside the chat (name, email, phone, GDPR consent, file uploads, downloadable lead magnets).
• Hand off to WhatsApp after qualifying. Visitors fill your contact form in chat, then tap “Send by WhatsApp” — WhatsApp opens with the message pre-filled (name, phone, email, custom fields, uploaded file links), ready to send to your number. The conversation continues natively with you.
• Book appointments — slot picker connected to Google Calendar; bookings auto-create events on the connected calendar.
• Check room / property availability by date range — the chatbot pulls your iCal feed (Booking.com, Airbnb, Google Calendar, hotel PMS exports) and tells visitors which dates are free across all rooms or units.
• Search WooCommerce products by description and price, with stock and rating shown inline.
• Check order status by order number — shipping stage, tracking link, estimated delivery.
• Browse menus, catalogs and services as scrollable cards.

External service disclosure

This plugin is a connector for PopABot, a hosted Software as a Service (SaaS) product. A PopABot account and chatbot are required for the widget to function.

• When the chatbot is enabled, your site loads the chat widget script from https://popabot.com/deploy/{chatbot_id}.
• When an administrator saves a Chatbot ID in the plugin settings, the plugin sends that Chatbot ID to PopABot to verify the connection.
