Rank Prompt writes articles that AI assistants and search engines can cite, and publishes them to your WordPress site with an application password. This plugin makes that publish complete.
SEO fields that stick. Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO and SEOPress each keep the SEO title, meta description and focus keyword their own way. Current Yoast SEO, SEOPress and All in One SEO versions accept them over the WordPress REST API; Rank Math and older versions of the others do not, and without this plugin those fields are dropped silently. With it, the fields of the SEO plugin you run are saved on every publish, for users who can edit the post.
IndexNow on publish. The plugin generates an IndexNow key for your site and serves it at /{key}.txt. Rank Prompt uses it to tell Bing, Yandex, Seznam and Naver about a post the moment it goes live, instead of waiting for the next crawl.
A free check of what AI can read. Settings, Rank Prompt shows whether your site has an llms.txt file and which search engine and AI crawlers your robots.txt lets in, with search engines flagged first because blocking one removes your pages from that index.
AI crawler visits, if you turn them on. Once the site is connected in Rank Prompt (AI crawlers), an administrator can turn on sending in Settings, Rank Prompt. Each visit from an AI crawler such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot is then sent to Rank Prompt every five minutes, so you can see which pages those crawlers read and where they hit errors. Visits from people are never noted.
The plugin works without a Rank Prompt account. The SEO fields and IndexNow parts are used when you connect the site in Rank Prompt (Integrations, WordPress).

This plugin links to the free Rank Prompt AI visibility check at rankprompt.com from its settings page. Nothing is sent to rankprompt.com unless you follow that link.
AI crawler visits: when the site is connected in Rank Prompt and an administrator turns sending on in Settings, Rank Prompt, the plugin sends every five minutes, to the Rank Prompt address it was given when connected (api.rankprompt.com), the visits whose user agent names an AI crawler: the time, the host, the page path without its query string, the response status, the user agent and the visitor’s IP address. Rank Prompt uses the address only to check the visit came from the crawler’s company and does not store it. Visits from anyone else are never noted or sent.
