Rockon Post Notifications for Telegram connects your WordPress site to a Telegram bot and posts an
announcement to your channel whenever you publish a new post. Set it up once with a bot token
and a channel name, write the message you want, and every post goes out automatically.

External services
This plugin relies on two external connections. Both are described in full below.
1. The Telegram Bot API
Sending your notifications to Telegram is the core purpose of the plugin, and this is how it does
it.
It is used when you press Check Connection (which asks Telegram to identify your bot), when
you press Send Test Message, and whenever a post is published while notifications are
enabled.
The data sent is your bot token, the channel or chat ID you entered, and the message built from
your template — which typically includes the post title, link, excerpt, author, date, categories
and tags. Nothing is sent until you have entered a bot token and a chat ID of your own, and
nothing is sent on publish unless you tick the notification setting.

2. Freemius
The plugin bundles the Freemius SDK, provided by Freemius, Inc. It powers the Add Ons screen
inside your dashboard, the optional account connection, and the licensing for the separately
distributed Pro add-on. No feature of this plugin depends on it: every notification feature works
in full whether or not you ever connect.
Nothing at all is transmitted unless you accept the opt-in prompt or make a purchase. If you do
opt in, Freemius receives your site URL, your WordPress, PHP and plugin versions, the
administrator’s name and email address, and a list of active plugins and themes. This happens at
the moment you opt in, and periodically afterwards to check for add-on updates. You can opt out at
any time from the plugin’s Account screen.

The tags under the template insert post data with a click, and the Status panel on the right shows at a glance whether the token, the channel and the notifications are all in place.
