TechPad – Automated Order Notifications & Cart Recovery for WooCommerce
by The Tech Pad
Connect your WooCommerce store to The Tech Pad — the WhatsApp team workspace —
and automate the messages your customers actually want:
- Order confirmation — the moment payment completes, on WhatsApp.
- Shipped with tracking — works with the official Shipment Tracking plugin, Aftership, and other
common tracking plugins (tracking link included when available). - Order cancelled / refunded — keep the customer informed automatically.
- Abandoned-cart recovery — when a shopper leaves items in their cart, they get a WhatsApp message
with a link that restores their cart and sends them back to checkout. Delays, quiet hours and
frequency caps are all controlled from your The Tech Pad dashboard. - Reports — recovery rate, revenue recovered, delivery/read status, failures — all inside the
The Tech Pad dashboard (Integrations WooCommerce).
How it works
- Install and activate this plugin (WooCommerce must be active — WordPress 6.5+ will ask you to
activate WooCommerce first if it is not). - In The Tech Pad (thetechpad.com/wa Integrations WooCommerce tab) click Request install code.
- Paste the 8-character code in WooCommerce The Tech Pad and click Connect store.
- Configure which messages to send (and which WhatsApp templates to use) in the dashboard, under
Integrations WooCommerce Templates.
No developer required. The plugin uses its own secure, signed channel to The Tech Pad — your
WooCommerce API keys are never required, and if you opt in to live order status they are encrypted
server-side, never stored on your site.
External services
This plugin connects your store to The Tech Pad (thetechpad.com), the WhatsApp messaging
workspace that actually sends the messages. The connection is required: the plugin itself has no
built-in messaging capability, and messages are sent from your own The Tech Pad workspace WhatsApp
number.
- What the service is used for: order notifications and abandoned-cart recovery messages are
composed and sent from your workspace (dashboard Integrations WooCommerce), and settings such
as recovery delay, quiet hours and template mapping are synced from the dashboard to the plugin. - What data is sent, and when:
- On connect: the one-time install code, your site URL and site name.
- On each order event (paid, shipped, cancelled, refunded): order id, totals and currency, line
items, the customer’s billing name, phone and email, shipping country, and the tracking
number/link when your tracking plugin provides one. - On cart abandonment: the visitor’s cart contents and total, plus the billing phone/email they
entered at checkout — used only to send that visitor their recovery message. - Hourly heartbeat: site URL and timezone.
- Connection check: The Tech Pad may request the read-only status endpoint on your site
(/wp-json/techpad/v1/status) to confirm the connection is alive and to send any messages
waiting in the queue. It returns only this plugin’s version, your site URL and whether the store
is connected — never customer, order or credential data. - Live order status (only if you enable it): your WooCommerce REST API consumer key and secret are
sent once and stored encrypted on The Tech Pad’s servers — never on your site. - When a message contains a tracking link, the link opens the carrier’s public tracking page
(for example India Post, Delhivery, FedEx or UPS); the tracking number is part of that link.
- How it is protected: every request goes over HTTPS and is signed with a per-store secret.

Privacy Policy apply to this service.

One shared inbox for your whole team — WhatsApp order conversations, campaigns and integrations in a single dashboard, for WooCommerce, Shopify and WordPress.

Every order event mapped to a WhatsApp template — order confirmation, shipped with tracking, cancelled, delivered, refunded and cart recovery, each choosing only from the templates that fit it.

Your whole team in one shared WhatsApp inbox: order conversations, canned replies, Draft Reply and Summarize, labels, assignment and internal notes beside the customer's details.

Store automation in one panel: your connected store and its last check-in, the cart-recovery delay (90 minutes by default) and quiet hours (21:00–09:00).
