BdThemes product feed — dashboard.bdthemes.io

What it is: an endpoint operated by BdThemes that returns the current product announcements shown in the “BdThemes News & Updates” widget on the WordPress dashboard.
What is sent and when: your site requests https://dashboard.bdthemes.io/wp-json/bdthemes/v1/product-feed/ when a logged-in administrator opens the WordPress dashboard and the cached copy of the feed is more than six hours old. The request carries only the product category being asked for. No personal data, site content, licence key or URL is included. The response is cached in your site’s transients for six hours.

BdThemes blog feed — bdthemes.com

What it is: the public RSS feed of the BdThemes blog, listed underneath the product announcements in the same dashboard widget.
What is sent and when: your site requests https://bdthemes.com/feed under the same conditions as above — administrator opens the dashboard, cached copy older than six hours. Nothing but the feed request itself is sent, and the result is cached for six hours.

QR code images — api.qrserver.com (goQR.me)

What it is: a QR code image API. The QR Code widget renders its code as an image served by this API rather than generating the image locally.
What is sent and when: the widget outputs an <img> tag pointing at https://api.qrserver.com/v1/create-qr-code/, so the request is made by the visitor’s browser every time a page containing a QR Code widget is displayed. The URL carries the permalink of the product the code points at, and — if the widget’s “cart URL” option is enabled — the add-to-cart query string for that product. As with any third-party image, the visitor’s browser also reveals its own IP address and user agent to that service. Nothing else is sent. This request only happens on pages where you have placed the QR Code widget.

Source code and build process

This plugin ships no obfuscated code. The human-readable sources for every compiled or minified asset are included in the plugin package under /src, alongside the build configuration used to produce them:

/src/js — front-end and editor scripts, built to /assets/js
/src/admin — the admin dashboard app (React/@wordpress/element), built to /assets/admin
/src/scss — stylesheets, built to /assets/css
/src/vendor — bundled third-party libraries, copied to /assets/vendor

Build tooling: @wordpress/scripts (webpack), Tailwind CSS and PostCSS. The configuration lives in package.json, webpack.config.js, postcss.config.js and tailwind.config.js, all of which are included in the package.

To regenerate the compiled assets from source:

npm install
npm run build (or npm start for a watching development build)

The compiled output is written to /assets and is the only thing the plugin loads at runtime.
