ZenTalk is a live chat widget with an AI sales agent for your website and WooCommerce store. This plugin does two things with a single pairing code:
- Adds the ZenTalk chat widget to every page. No script tag to paste.
- Connects your WooCommerce catalog and orders so the AI agent can:
- find products and quote real prices,
- confirm live stock and availability,
- look up a customer’s order status and tracking (with an email privacy check),
- show a logged-in customer their own recent orders with no order number needed,
- hand the shopper a native WooCommerce checkout link.
Payment always happens on your own store checkout. ZenTalk never handles card details.
What gets shared
Only a READ-ONLY WooCommerce REST API key (created automatically) and your public ZenTalk widget key. The widget key is public by design; it ships in your page HTML like any chat widget.
External services
This plugin relies on ZenTalk, a third party live chat and AI sales agent service provided by ZenTalk LLC. ZenTalk hosts the chat widget, runs the AI sales agent, and stores the conversations and store data needed to answer your shoppers. The plugin cannot work without it, because the widget and the AI both run on ZenTalk’s servers. It connects to two ZenTalk endpoints:

What it is used for: linking your store to your ZenTalk account so the AI sales agent can read your catalog and order status.
What data is sent and when: only when a site administrator opens Settings, ZenTalk Chat and clicks Connect, the plugin sends a one time request to https://api.usezentalk.com/v1/public/store/pair containing the pairing code you entered, your store URL, your store name, your WooCommerce checkout URL, and a newly created READ-ONLY WooCommerce REST API key (consumer key and secret). The read-only key lets ZenTalk read products, stock and order status. It cannot change anything in your store. Nothing is sent to this endpoint until you click Connect, and nothing is sent again unless you reconnect.

What it is used for: loading the chat widget on your storefront so visitors can chat.
What data is sent and when: once your store is connected, the widget loader script is loaded on every front end page from https://cdn.usezentalk.com, using your public ZenTalk widget key. When a visitor uses the chat, their messages and basic browsing context are sent to ZenTalk so the AI agent can reply. If a WooCommerce customer is logged in, the plugin also includes that customer’s email, name and customer ID in the page as an HMAC signed value so the AI can show them their own orders. This is signed with your store’s own secret, server side, and ZenTalk verifies the signature before trusting it.
Payments always happen on your own WooCommerce checkout. ZenTalk never handles card details.
